First Look: Teaser For Angels and Demons
Oct 30th
Now, I’m not totally sure that The Da Vinci Code was so awesome that Dan Brown’s other popular novel, Angels and Demons, needed to be adapted for film, but Hollywood didn’t listen to me on this one and the movie moved forward. Now we have a little peek at what might be in store for us and from this very brief look, the film does appear to be pretty spooky and riveting.
Ron Howard directs and Tom Hanks is again playing Robert Langdon the Harvard symbologist who “works to solve a murder and prevent a terrorist act against the Vatican.” The movie opens May 15.
Have you read this book? Did you like The Da Vinci Code?

Lipstick Jungle Rundown: Episode Five, “Scary, Scary Night!”
Oct 30th

Questionable decisions abound on this week’s Lipstick Jungle. Wendy’s still struggling with how to be a stay-at-home mom (and not dealing with her frustrations in the most appropriate ways), Kirby goes to great lengths to prove to Nico he can pay for some stuff, and Victory . . . well, she starts thinking about Joe Bennett again. Ready to talk about this episode? Just
Courteney Cox Heads to Cougar Town
Oct 30th
Courteney Cox’s guest appearance on Scrubs won’t be the end of the partnership between her and that show’s creator, Bill Lawrence. The two are teaming up for a new comedy called Cougar Town, which will star Cox as a newly single 40-year-old with a 17-year-old son.
“Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free,” Lawrence told The Hollywood Reporter. “People don’t do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing.” He said he based parts of the role on his wife, Christa Miller, who plays Jordan on Scrubs.
Lawrence first worked with Cox on Friends and described her as “comedically fearless,” which makes sense: Back at TCA, he talked how she was “up for anything” and he’d had to leave her back at the set during the Scrubs panel because she was filming a gory-sounding fantasy sequence. For her part, Cox said she’s “a huge fan of Bill Lawrence and his comedic sensibilities.”
After the darkness of Dirt, it should be fun to see Cox back to doing comedy. Just one thing, though: The name Cougar Town makes me cringe a little. I guess I’m just not ready to “reclaim” the word cougar yet. Can you work on that, Bill?
Pushing Daisies Rundown: Episode 5, “Dim Sum, Lose Some”
Oct 30th

It’s probably not surprising for one with his particular gift/predicament, but Ned the piemaker has never been much of a gambler. On this week’s episode of Pushing Daisies, Ned reveals a little more of the background that’s kept him away from most games of chance. Emerson, on the other hand, takes some chances of his own with love on the brain, and the murder made me suddenly, insatiably hungry for pork buns. To talk about this episode, just

Weapon’s Been Found That Killed Jennifer Hudson’s Family
Oct 30th
The gun that took the lives of Jennifer Hudson’s brother, mother and nephew has been found.
The gun was found by police searching a car park in Chicago close by where the abandoned SUV was found with the body of seven-year-old Julian King inside. Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found shot dead in their home on Chicago’s South Side on Friday. When the actress found out her nephew was missing, she offered a $100,000 reward for his safe return, however the body of the boy was discovered on Monday in a white Chevrolet Suburban…
There are a few suspects in this case including William Balfour, 27, who is the stepfather of Julian and estranged husband of Hudson’s sister. Balfour once served seven years in prision for attemped murder and vechile hijacking back in 1999…
This is such a horrible thing that has happened, Jennifer and her family are in my thoughts and prayers… Yesterday Jennifer “thanked” all of those who have shown support to her during this diffcult time…
