Joshua Jackson is Totally GaGa over Diane Kruger!

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger

Canada’s Joshua Jackson is completely and utterly head over heals in love with German-born actress and girlfriend of 2 1/2 yrs, Diane Kruger. During a recent interview, Jackson had only great things to say about his girlfriend…

I want to be a better man because I want to always see that look in her eyes when she looks at me. I want to be the man that deserves that love

and then goes on by saying…

She’s wonderful, she’s kind, she’s loving. She’s forgiving when I am a moron and not forgiving when I don’t deserve to be forgiven. There are no amount of good words.

give her a ring already!…

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Kissing

Angelina Jolie wants to adopt another child. Last month during a backstage moment at the Oscars, Slumdog Millionaire star Azharuddin Mohammed asked the mother of six, if she was planning on bringing up and Indian orphan. The actress replied by saying, “Well, I’ll let you into a little secret, we will soon.”

Jolie and Pitt already have three adopted children from various parts of the world and share three biological children together including eight month old twins…

good for them, they have the funds, devotion and the love, so what the heck!…

Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Two More Seasons of FNL!

I imagine winning the Texas state football championship feels a little like this: Friday Night Lights has been renewed for two more 13-episode seasons. And it didn’t take any mini-footballs or eye drops this year – just a unique partnership between DirecTV and NBC and a sense that FNL is worth keeping around.

Under the deal, DirecTV will again get the first crack at showing the episodes, with NBC airing them later in the season. Also like this year, some of the characters who are seniors will probably move on, but not without farewell arcs like the ones Street and Smash were given.

This news was rumored a little while ago, but then came word that a dispute over money could derail the whole deal. But it all came together, and well, yeah, OK, it’s cliche, but I can’t help it: Touchdown!

So here’s an interesting thought: FNL barely got renewed after its first season, then had to fight again to come back after season two. Now the writers can tackle a fourth season knowing they’ll be back for more. And for the first time, FNL fans can watch a season finale without wondering if it might be the show’s last episode. I feel so free!

Tell me: Which characters do you hope stick around? And how lucky are we to get not one, not two, but five seasons of this little gem?

New Moon Casting: British Up-and-Comer Joins Twilight Family

OK Twilight fans, we have someone to play the Volturi leader and his name is Jamie Campbell-Bower. Based on this particular picture, it appears the young British actor was born to play a vampire (probably has to do with that mess of greasy hair and the guyliner). He’s like Robert Pattinson’s evil twin, which is about right for this role in New Moon.

The 20-year-old actor brings with him some impressive acting credits already, including roles in RocknRolla and Sweeney Todd.

So this means that several of the important Volturi roles are filled at this point with Dakota Fanning playing Jane, a runway model in the role of Volturi vixen, and now Campbell-Bower as Caius who “forms part of the triumvirate leading the Italian-based coven of vampires.” I think we still need an Aro and a Marcus, right? Maybe some Volturi wives?

What do you think of this Caius?

Buzz In: What TV/Movie Characters Did You Look Up To?

I don’t think about her often anymore, but the news that Danica McKellar (aka. Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years) recently got married reminded me that once upon a time I wanted to be Winnie Cooper. At the time, I’m not even sure it had much to do with the character’s personality – I think I just coveted her long, straight hair. But for whatever reason, I thought Winnie Cooper was totally rad. I was also slightly obsessed with Punky Brewster and wished I were as fun and fearless as she seemed to be (when I wore mismatching sneakers, it just looked like a sad mistake).

One of my other major “role models,” of sorts, was Chris Parker (Elizabeth Shue) from Adventures in Babysitting. I think more than anything I wanted her to be my babysitter, but I also admired Chris and wanted to be like her – clever, pretty, able to improvise a blues song when need be – when I grew up.

What about you? What characters on TV and in the movies did you think were just the coolest?
