Hot Mess: Nina Dobrev at The CW Upfronts

Spotted: The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev wearing three fashion don’ts in one: a too tight, too pale, too shiny dress at the CW upfronts in NYC. True, ND has the body to pull off just about anything, and while this look isn’t totally unfortunate, it does nothing to flatter her figure.
But, I’m willing to forgive Nina for this rare fashion misstep since she’s promised that even if her beau Ian Somerhalder lands the lead in Fifty Shades of Grey, she’d never star alongside him in the steamy film. Looks like the part is open to one of you darlings…XOXO.

Is John Mayer the Next Bachelor?

John Mayer spent most of his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show gushing about his love for The Bachelor and admitting that he’d “take a meeting” with producers if they were interested in having him be the next hunk in the hot seat. Johnny Boy insisted that in the end, he’d turn down an offer, but JM doesn’t always make the best decisions, now does he?
Could you picture him handing out roses left and right? And would you want to be the last woman standing when he got down on one knee with a ring? XOXO.

Spotted: Matthew Morrison has a new feather in his cap. Unfortunately I mean that literally–the Glee star was outside the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show in NYC wearing this lame fedora adorned with a few downy plumes. While I’m sure MM wanted to look city chic, he doesn’t need any accessories to detract from his already flawless face, don’t you agree? XOXO.

New Couple Alert: Taylor Swift and Mark Foster
May 18th
Could Taylor Swift be working on her future ex-boyfriend? I spied her strutting around town with Foster the People frontman Mark Foster, who both Lindsay Lohan and Michelle Trachtenberg once made a play for–and failed. But it looks like Taylor is having far better luck with the hipster hottie, enjoying a cozy lunch a deux in LA.
While her outfit is definitely a flop, let’s hope that her newest romance fosters more than a little love…XOXO.

In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. This week, we’re looking at some of the stars who shined at the television upfronts! Check out the TV queens below!

- Kat Graham – The Vampire Diaries star looked stunning at the CW upfront, wearing a sexy thigh-high split skirt with a black top and studded clutch. She was also one of the few stars that greeted fans outside, making some TVD viewers and supporters of her music career very, very happy.
- Vanessa Williams – The star of Alloy Entertainment‘s newest series 666 Park Avenue shined on the red carpet at the ABC upfront after-party, but the real buzz is her new show. Her character on the supernatural series looks deliciously devious, and the show is from the same people who brought you Gossip Girl (so, expect lots of juicy drama and plot twists!)
- Demi Lovato – It was announced this week that Demi will be joining Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, and L.A. Reid on the judges’ panel for Fox’s “The X Factor.” Demi is hopefully going to make a positive comeback after her stint in rehab, and we’re excited to see what kind of criticism she has to offer, considering her whole Seventeen magazine movement “Love is Louder Than The Pressure To Be Perfect.”

Who better to recap each week’s new episode of Gossip Girl than author Cecily von Ziegesar? Find out all her favorite moments in “The Return of the Ring” (Season 5, Episode 24).
Hey People,
I suppose I should feel sad that we won’t get to see all these Upper East Siders until the autumn wind blows once more. But these final turns of events were so bitter and so not very sweet that I’m almost happy for the break. Of course I always love watching the train wreck that is S, sliding down the slippery, coke-dusted slope into Bad Girl Country yet again. But did you notice that the entire cast was scowling right along with her? This is one big unhappy group. Let this be a lesson to you: the more you have, the bigger the mess.
That doesn’t mean you can’t look good going down. Here are some things that delighted me this week:
Favorite Boy: Chuck looked particularly handsome and vulnerable and dewy-eyed. And we know he means not what he says, particularly when he’s talking to Blair. Which leads me to…
Most frustrating moment: When Blair told Chuck she loved him, and he didn’t just shut up and kiss her.
Prettiest lips: I want the lip gloss B was wearing when she wore that raspberry pink blazer with the big flower brooch. Her lips looked berry, berry spectacular.
Most Please-Tell-Me-You’re-Not-Falling-For-This Moment: When Serena was like, “Will you unzip me Dan? Don’t worry, I’m wearing a slip.” Since when do you go to the Campbell Apartment to dry off when someone spills a drink on you? Next time try the ladies room.
Meanest Eyebrows: Lily’s. They get thinner and more severely sculpted the more selfish and power-hungry she becomes. By the time she gets back together with Bart she’ll be totally eyebrowless and will have to tattoo them on.
Best Dress: Blair’s geranium red number with sparkly gold circles at the casino in Paris in her final scene. She was playing it all demure, but she was dressed to slay.
Best I’m-Too-Messed-Up-To-Even-Talk-Straight Slur: Serena in the final scene. It’s fun to watch history repeat itself. So, so much fun.
Will D ever return from Rome? Will he and Georgina get involved for real this time? Will she convince him to cut his hair? Will B win Chuck’s hand at blackjack, steal his heart back, and put a ring on it in Paris? Will we ever see Rufus again? Will S fall down in a drug-addled haze, get amnesia, and return to New York thinking she’s Jenny Humphrey? Will B and S remember that they both used to be in love with Nate back in high school, and realize how much he misses them?!
Rumor has it there’s only one season left to go. But let’s not let that ruin our summers. As if anything could.
