Number Crunching: This Week’s TV Ratings
- It’s hot in this Kitchen. Hell’s Kitchen got off to a blazing start this week, with 12.5 million viewers for its season premiere, finishing second in its timeslot behind Dancing with the Stars.
- Kids choose to watch. The Kids’ Choice Awards hit a record high last weekend, pulling in 7.4 million viewers  up significantly from last year’s 6.1 million watchers.
- Who needs Britney? Even minus a stunt like an appearance by Britney Spears, How I Met Your Mother had another pretty good week, pulling in 9.7 million viewers.
- Well, it’s something. America’s Next Top Model has been having a dismal season, but there was a wee bit of good news this week: For the first time this season, it (barely) topped 4 million viewers, with 4.04 million folks tuning in.
- Nobody wants to date this Bachelor. ABC’s current installment of The Bachelor hasn’t been doing so well so far, either. This week’s episode pulled in an estimated 8.8 million viewers  but only 7.5 million of them were still watching after the first half-hour.
- Hello, Thursday television! For the first time in months, Thursday TV looked something like normal, with several shows returning: My Name is Earl brought in 7.5 million viewers, CSI drew 20.4 million viewers, and Without a Trace got 15.4 million viewers.
