In Gossip Girl‘s episode “The Back Up Dan” (season 5, episode 14), we all cringed a little as Blair went with Louis at the end of the show. The song playing in the background gave the whole scene an eerie feel, too. That song was “Future This” by The Big Pink.
The band is an electro-rockduo from London comprised of Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell. Their music has been featured on previous episodes of Gossip Girl. Listen to some of their other songs for free at MySpace and like them on Facebook to stay up to date on their tour and other news.

Music Spotlight: Grouplove’s “Slow†(A.K.A. Blair’s Wedding Song)

Who else got chills as Blair was walking down the aisle to marry Louis in the 100th episode? Perhaps you were getting goosebumps because she looked so beautiful. Or you were sick to your stomach because she was actually going to go through with saying “I do” to the prince. Or, the music in the background was just so gorgeous that it made you emotional.
This week’s Gossip Girl Music Spotlight goes to the LA-based band Grouplove whose song “Slow” was featured as Blair walked towards Louis in the church. You may have heard the band’s other music featured in television commercials and the FIFA 12 soundtrack.

If you’re super smitten with Glee hottie Darren Criss, I have some good news, and some bad news. The good news is that he is indeed straight. The bad news? He’s already taken! The Warbler turned up at a grimy NYC bar to cheer on girlfriend Mia Swier as she performed with her band “Shoot the Freak.” Take a look at the oh-so-happy couple and tell me what kind of girl you pictured D with. Perhaps the expression on the face of the girl in the background says what we’re all thinking…
