The Vampire Diaries Series Has Two New Books Out!

The Vampire Diaries Moonsong and Stefan's Diaries The Compelled

Since Gossip Girl isn’t coming back with new episodes until April 2, 2012, you might be looking for something juicy to sink your teeth into while you wait. And we’ve got the perfect suggestion!

Two new Vampire Diaries series books (created by L.J. Smith) have just hit the shelves this week!

  • The Vampire Diaries: The Hunters: Moonsong - After escaping the horrors of the Dark Dimension, Elena can’t wait to attend Dalcrest College, the beautiful ivy-covered campus where her parents met. Life with Stefan is better than ever, and even Damon seems genuinely changed and is getting along with everyone. But moving away from Fell’s Church doesn’t mean she and her friends are free from danger. When students start to disappear from campus, every new acquaintance is suddenly a potential enemy. Then Elena uncovers a long-hidden secret, one that shocks her to the core, and realizes tragedy may be unavoidable. Will Elena outrun her fate? And will it be Stefan or Damon who catches her if she falls?
  • Stefan’s Diaries: The Compelled – The Stefan’s Diaries series gives readers the chance to eavesdrop on Stefan Salvatore’s private thoughts. In the latest book The Compelled, Stefan recounts an early adventure with his brother Damon, when the two joined forces with a secret coven of witches in London in 1864. This book is a paranormal-lover’s dream, complete with cool details about early London for historical fiction fans. And for Vampire Diaries addicts, the appeal of a whole novel’s worth of quality time with Stefan and Damon is nearly impossible to beat.

Leighton Meester is on the April 2012 Marie Claire Cover

Spotted: Leighton Meester looking gorgeous on the April 2012 cover of Marie Claire magazine. The issue hits newsstands on March 20 but we got to see some of the beautiful pics and interesting things she had to say already!

On Her Family: “My family has a crazy history. Probably the craziest I’ve heard of. I look back now and I see it in a nice light. It wasn’t uncomplicated. But I played outside. I went to the beach. There were happy, fun times.”

On Being a Young Actress & Model: “I worked a lot, even though I was just a kid. It seemed normal to me.”

On Dating & Marriage: “I never had a boyfriend until I was 18. It’s nice, I guess — when you like them. But it isn’t the most important thing. I’m not sure I ever want to get married. The only time a relationship is good is when you really love them. I don’t want to hang out with some guy I just like.”

Check out the pics below. Which ones are your favorite?

Worn Out: Lady Gaga

Pete Wentz, is that you? ‘Fraid not, my dears. Lady Gaga stomped around the VMAs press room looking like an emo rocker/Grease extra in her latest oh-so-shocking look. Am I the only one getting a tired of her endless attempts to outdo herself? Wouldn’t you still love Gaga if she ditched the theatrics and just stuck to belting out her beautiful songs?

America the Beautiful?

Glowing skin, killer curves . . . And a disco-ball dress? As always, America’s Ferrera’s features are flawless, but on the red carpet at the premiere of Our Family Wedding she was almost upstaged by her glittery gown.  What do you think—America the beautiful, or Ugly Betty?

Lady Gaga: Not Looking for Love

She may sing about “Bad Romance,” but when it comes to her personal life, it’s more like no romance. “I haven’t got time to spend on the road to get to know anyone,” Lady Gaga says. For now, it’s all about her fans: “When I see my beautiful fans I feel how much they mean to me.” Okay, so there may not be a Lord Gaga waiting in the wings, but if you had to play matchmaker, who do you think could keep up with the fierce fashionista?
