And now Carrie Underwood is headed to the big screen in Soul Surfer, a flick about teen surfer Bethanny Hamilton. Carrie plays Bethanny’s youth group leader, who encourages her to get back in the water after a shark attack. Who better to play a perky, spiritual blonde than perky, spiritual Carrie? Um, unless there was a real actress available?

She might seem sweet-as-pie, but spies say Carrie Underwood was a royal beeotch to Leighton Meester at the recent CMA awards. “Get out there and don’t f-ck up,” Carrie allegedly hissed to Leighton, who was nervous about presenting an award. Thankfully, it’s never too late to fire off the perfect take-that come back. If you were in Leighton’s ”Ciara” platform Jimmy Choo’s, what would you have said?

Spotted: Carrie Underwood at the CMT Awards, where she won two prizes, including performance of the year for “Temporary Home.” Carrie is usually spot-on with her fashion choices, but in my book, Pepto-Bismol pink + plunging neckline = particularly poor form. The bride-to-be is still our favorite cowgirl, but here’s hoping that her stylist was not involved in picking out her wedding gown.
