Copy Blair’s Princess Style
Oct 14th
Conservative is making a comeback, and Blair’s not the only lady tapping a Grace Kelly-esque style. Glam it up like Princess Beatrice and Sophie with Nina Ricci and Moschino–the experts in timeless sophistication. These retrospective looks will exude the perfect amount of class and refined elegance needed for any formal event or cocktail party this fall. Pair with a simple updo or loose waves and you’re good to go.
On the less fancy side of the scale, festive frocks from Opening Ceremony, Nina Ricci, and Peter Soronen are a perfect way to do retro at any birthday party, shower, or date. Match with some fun jewelry and a statement clutch to glam up the complete look.
And did we mention you can rent all of these designers for hundreds — even thousands! — less than their ritzy price tags?
Add pizzazz to a demure dress — like this Nina Ricci beauty — with a chunky statement necklace.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) Don’t be shy with color! Complement the cut of this Moschino number with an equally sexy clutch.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) The high scoop neck on this Nina Ricci frock craves drama! Choose flashy earrings and sweep hair behind your ears.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) What’s more ladylike than pearls? Give the classy strand the Blair treatment by adding a fabric bow. This Lee Angel piece is just $50 to rent.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) Draw attention to your clavicle with this Nicole Miller gem (Photo: Rent the Runway) Top off any outfit — even jeans and a tee — with crystal clear style.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) The knit fabric will keep you cozy – pair with tights and boots for the ultimate fall effect.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) Watching your green? This Pour Le Chic Dress rents for $2,000 less (Photo: Rent the Runway) Give glam a punch of edge with this python printed feather dress.
(Photo: Rent the Runway) Keep your sparkle subtle with these Janis Savitt teardrop earrings.

Creepy Twins of the Day: Patrick Stump & Robyn
Aug 15th
Since splitting from Fall Out Boy, Patrick Stump wasn’t going to sob about his single status. Instead, he wrote a solo album, dropped a ton of weight and made friends with a bottle of peroxide. But remember darlings, there is sometimes too much of a good thing. I spotted PS on set of his upcoming video for “This City” where he seemed to have gone makeover-board and morphed into Swedish electro-pop singer Robyn. Take a look at this terrifying comparison and tell me if you can tell the two apart…

Fashion Do: Giuliana Rancic Nails the Neutrals
Jul 20th
My my, darlings, it seems we may have a new NYC Queen Bee contender. I spied Giuliana Rancic on her recent trip to the city and, well, can we say, “tres sucess?” The reality TV starlet and E! news hostess looked effortlessly chic in her all-white top (please, Giuls, tell us where you got the blazer), and black skinnies, paired with a camel-colored Hermes Birkin. Darlings, does this look make you swoon? Tell me your thoughts.

Going through Glee withdrawl? Not to worry darlings. Simply gas up the G4 and head to Manhattan! A new vacay package is being offered at the Intercontinental Hotel in Times Square, where the Glee kids filmed their New York season finale. The package includes a Glee-inspired map of the city, a gourmet slushie from A-list chef Todd English‘s restaurant, and a framed pic of your fave show choir. Suddenly a mint on the pillow doesn’t seem so luxe, now does it?

Is Blake Lively the New Carrie Bradshaw?
Feb 8th
Rumor has it that rather than hanging up her Sex and the City Manolos, Sarah Jessica Parker may be passing her pumps on to Blake Lively. Producers have their eye on B for the movie adaptation of the SATC prequel novel, The Carrie Diaries—and she obviously has the style to pull it off. So if Blake plays Carrie Bradshaw back in the day, who would you cast as Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha?

Style Faux Pas: Christina Ricci
Nov 2nd
Spotted: Christina Ricci at a New York Public Library gala, fighting the cold in a pair of opaque black tights. I feel Christina’s pain (it was nippy in the city last night), but this layered organza dress with black tuxedo top wasn’t designed for the faint or heart. Picture it without the tights! Now doesn’t she look less frumpy?
