Georgina Sparks as Alter Girl

Remember when the last scene of the 100th episode of Gossip Girl made us all scream “OMFG!”? Well, turns out it also shocked Michelle Trachtenberg, too!

Michelle, who plays Georgina Sparks on the show, told Us Weekly that she was very shocked by the last scene where it is revealed that her character is writing the Gossip Girl post (alluding to the fact that she’s Gossip Girl).

“I knew the 100th episode would end with a bang, but definitely didn’t expect that!” Michelle said. She also said that it was probably a really big surprise for her castmates.

“On the ‘big secret episodes,’ only the people involved in the last scene get the script pages,” she told Us, “I was the only one in the scene!”

Were you totally shocked by the scene? Let’s talk about it in the comments below!

Cecily von Ziegesar Recaps the 100th Episode of Gossip Girl

Cecily von Ziegesar and Blair's Wedding

Who better to recap each week’s new episode of Gossip Girl than author Cecily von Ziegesar? In this week’s edition, she talks about her theory on Blair’s wedding outfit and that Georgina’s Gossip Girl reveal might not be what it seems.

Hey people,

I don’t know about you but it took me a night or two of fitful sleep to process what went down on Monday. Not sure I’ll ever fully process all of it, because it was a lot. I might seek professional help or medication or maybe I should just start my own blog…. Anyway, enough about me, let’s analyze the craziness.

My wedding outfit theory:

Of course the wedding would turn out to be an ill-fated sham, I could tell right away. Not because Blair was totally marrying the wrong guy, but because of the dresses and hairdos. I know I’m supposed to get all gooey over Blair in her wedding dress, but she wouldn’t have worn her hair so long and unkempt-looking and so much blue eye shadow if the wedding was meant to be. She would have had her hair combed into a sleek up-do, with pearly, natural makeup. And Serena wouldn’t have worn baby pink or visible underwires unless she totally knew she was about to become the most meddlesome maid of honor in history. If the wedding had been blessed, the bridesmaids would’ve worn flattering dresses, not puffballs of peony pink. And the boys would not have had their hair combed back to make them look old and unhandsome. Watch, when Blair finally marries the man she loves, the whole picture will be edible.

Favorite villainous appearance:

Georgina. Sheee’s back!!! She steals the show with her evil ways every time. This time she stole the words right out of Gossip Girl’s mouth. I have the feeling we haven’t untwisted the whole GG pretzel here though, if you know what I mean. Georgina has quite a bag of tricks and all may not be as it seems.

Favorite moment/line:

I have to say, I’m a romantic. I loved the do-over moment when Dan looks up and sees Serena looking down at him and smiling. It was totally reminiscent of that scene in the Palace Hotel in episode one. And then I loved it when Serena says, “I love you Dan Humphrey, always have, always will,” knowing that he won’t reciprocate. I like it when Serena’s humble, because it’s so rare.

Favorite dress:

Georgina as a choir boy. Although I’m bummed I didn’t get to see Chuck in that get-up.

Favorite hairstyle:

I have to say the evil priest’s hair made me giggle every time. It looked like it was combed with a rake dripping with hair gel. Where was he ordained — becomeapriestonthejerseyshore.com?

Favorite wedding guest:

The whole lot get props for maintaining their composure during what turned out to be the craziest wedding any of them has ever attended, but I have to say I loved seeing Cyrus Rose again. He always lends a dapper elegance to every occasion, and makes us all feel a little smarter simply by being there.

Most ominous music:

That song when Blair and Louis are at the altar for the second time, really going through with it. We might have been at a funeral. We might have been bleeding to death. That song just made me wanna die.

OK, now I’m depressed. But the good thing is, things can only get better, right? There are so many messes, we just have to sit back and watch them… turn into bigger messes!

You know you love it.

xoxo -CvZ

LOLZ: Kristen Bell’s Sloth Meltdown

A room full of Jimmy Choos. A 9-carat cushion cut engagement ring. A jet stocked with Sprinkles cupcakes and Tattinger champagne. All of the above would send me into an absolute tailspin of delight. But a sloth? If you’re Kristen Bell….

The adorable actress (and voice of Gossip Girl) admitted that she had a “full fledge panic attack” when her fiance Dax Shepard surprised her with a visit from a sloth for her birthday. Take a look at the video and prepare to laugh..confusedly.

Who else got chills as Blair was walking down the aisle to marry Louis in the 100th episode? Perhaps you were getting goosebumps because she looked so beautiful. Or you were sick to your stomach because she was actually going to go through with saying “I do” to the prince. Or, the music in the background was just so gorgeous that it made you emotional.

This week’s Gossip Girl Music Spotlight goes to the LA-based band Grouplove whose song “Slow” was featured as Blair walked towards Louis in the church. You may have heard the band’s other music featured in television commercials and the FIFA 12 soundtrack.

Listen to “Slow” below. It takes you back to the wedding, doesn’t it? Let us know what you think about the song in a comment!

Blair Waldorf and Louis Grimaldi Wedding

Who else was screaming “OMFG” at the flat screen? The 100th episode of Gossip Girl proved to be an extreme drama-filled show complete with a royal wedding and the return of Georgina Sparks!

  • Blair’s Wedding Day – It’s the event that everyone’s been waiting for (and hoping wouldn’t actually happen). The bride-to-be gets a little panic attack as she’s sitting in her gorgeous Vera Wang gown. We all know she still loves Chuck but can’t be with him because of her prayer to God that said if he stayed alive, she’d keep her vow to marry Louis. There’s a part of us that thinks she actually likes Louis, like she’s not totally repulsed by him like we are, but there’s still some major hesitation about whether or not she should walk down the aisle.
  • Georgina Returns – She’s back, and ready to join forces with Chuck to break up Blair’s wedding. First she plans on seducing the groom and having Blair find the two of them. But, Eleanor puts an end to that quickly. Then, she films Blair telling Chuck that she still loves him (see above) and gives him the video to do with it what he wants.
  • Eleanor Waldorf to the Rescue – A mother knows best, and Eleanor can tell Blair is not happy. She goes to Chuck’s apartment and tells him. This encourages him to go to Blair and tell her not to marry Louis right before she walks down the aisle. She tells him she still loves him but has to marry Louis. Le sigh…
  • Serena Finally Tells Chuck About Blair’s Vow – Finally! And now Chuck knows why she’s been so weird.
  • Blair Marries Louis – We have never felt so nervous before. First, she looks amazing walking down the aisle with Harold and Cyrus. The priest asks if anyone has any objections to this marriage and Chuck walks in. The suspense is killing us. Say something, Chuck! But then Blair gives him a look like, “Don’t do it,” and he remains silent. THEN, everyone’s phones start buzzing. It’s a Gossip Girl text! She leaks the video of Blair telling Chuck she still loved him. Blair runs away, and we see her and Louis talking in another room. She explains to him that he didn’t see the part on the video where she says she loves him. They get married and we see them having their last dance at the reception. Louis is all like, “Our marriage is just a contract at this point. I only did this to save face. Flash a fake smile so people think we’re happy.”
  • Blair Runs Away – With her mandatory fake smile, Blair runs over to her phone and says to the person on the other line, “Help me.” Cut to Chuck looking for Blair at the reception. Was it him that she called? Cut to Blair running outside looking around. A car pulls up. She gets in. “This is the only one I could find,” DAN says. OMFG – she called DAN!
  • Georgina is Gossip Girl? – Knowing our hearts couldn’t handle anymore drama, we still got another shocking moment. A post on Gossip Girl is being written by someone and then the camera shows who that someone was … GEORGINA!? Is she really Gossip Girl or did she just hack into the account? We’ll have to wait and see!
