Splitsville for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from b-baller Tony Parker. Eva’s pal Mario Lopez says she’s “devastated” over finding hundreds of text messages on Tony’s phone—from his teammate’s wife!  I hate to say I told you so  . . .  but consider this your warning label: Loving a pro athlete may be hazardous to your heart. Studies show they are chronically unfaithful and can’t be trusted. Marry one at your own risk!

Seen Everywhere: Stephanie Pratt

There’s one every season:  A pseudostar who’d agree to attend the opening of an envelope. A tip, Steph: absence makes the heart grow fonder! Put your heels and hairstylist on hiatus for a week, and take a vacation!

Jess Wants Something Done; Does it Herself

Seems like one pop star in Hollywood is taking the song “Single Ladies, (Put a Ring On It)” a little too seriously. Reports say Jessica Simpson has bought herself a $50,000 three-carat emerald-cut diamond, instead of waiting for her boyfriend, Eric Johnson, to buy one for her. While I’m all for going after what you want, don’t you think Jess may be following her heart one—actually, make that fity-thousand —steps too far?

She’s Taken!

Forget wearing your heart on your sleeve—AnnaLynne McCord is advertising her love for Kellan Lutz on her plain white tee. We get the point, AnnaLynne, but it makes one wonder: is this a tactical wardrobe maneuver in response to Ashley Greene’s recent comments about how close she is with Kellan? The back of the shirt is covered, but what do you want to bet it reads, “Back off, b*tch”?

Scene and Heard

“You can’t love someone else to change them. Happiness comes from accepting who they are. It is our decision to REALLY know who we love.”—Jessica Simpson, on rules of the heart.
