Gossip Girl Fans React To Blair Choosing Chuck

In “The Return of the Ring,” the season 5 finale of Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf made her decision about being with Chuck Bass over Dan Humphrey. Chuck and Blair aren’t 100% together though. Bart Bass told Chuck that he’s too obsessed with Blair to run a successful business, making Chuck rethink his love for B. And when she tells him she wants to be with him, he says “I always put you first, and you bet against me every time.”
Then, at the end of the episode, we see Blair joining Chuck at a casino. She sits next to him, places some chips forward and says, “You said I always bet against you, but this time I’m all in.”
Twitter blew up after that scene with some happy Chair and disappointed Dair fans. Check out some of the comments:

That’s why we asked two very passionate Gossip Girl shippers to debate Chair vs. Dair! Every Monday night during an all new episode of Gossip Girl, Chair fans all over the world trend “Save Chuck and Blair” on Twitter. Chuck Bass and Blair Waldorf have a huge fan base, and nobody can deny that.
The show basically relies on both Blair and Chuck for most storylines. Their chemistry is undeniable. Even when the writers keep them apart, their chemistry stays undeniable. There are plenty reasons why Chuck and Blair need to be together. They share mutual interests like burlesque, limos and scheming, but most of all their love for each other. Chuck has only ever loved Blair and Blair never stopped loving Chuck. Chuck loves Blair for who she really is. He doesn’t want to change anything about her. He wants to put aside his own happiness for Blair’s. And Blair loves Chuck for who he is.
Blair stood by her man all this time. She is the only person who can convince Chuck to do anything. Blair’s passion and love only make Chuck’s heart even bigger. Chuck also stood by his girl, supporting her to be the powerful woman she already is. Whenever Blair feels insecure, he lets her know how beautiful and amazing she truly is.
Blair: “You’re all I ever wanted. I love you. I love every part of you. You’re the one I never want to leave. “– 5?10 “Riding in Town Cars with Boys”
They know the other one better then they know themselves. They know what the other one is thinking without using any words. They care about their friends and don’t judge each other. Chuck and Blair have fireworks in every scene. They complete the other one in a way and they know it too, because they feel incomplete without the other. He’s not Chuck Bass without her, and it’s not her world without him in it. They think and act alike, even when they are not in the same place.
Another aspect to point out is that every time Chuck & Blair tried to get closure, it actually brought them together again. Think about the scene at the train station in Paris and Chuck’s already famous apology earlier this season. Moments of them being totally in love followed fast.
Blair and Chuck have lots of history. They have had good and bad times in the past five seasons, as every other character on Gossip Girl. But somehow they never stopped loving each other. And they never will. Their love has always been true in the five years that we’ve known and loved Gossip Girl. But that is mostly because of Chuck and Blair and not for anything or anyone else. Keeping them apart is wrong because they are an actual pairing that makes sense.
Blair: “I’ll always love you.”
Chuck: “I will always love you.”

Chuck and Blair are for real, and I hope the writers will figure it out. People who are meant to be together will find their way back in the end. Remember, true love stories never have endings….

Le sigh, darlings. I thought I’d sooner declare my love for orthopedic shoes before I’d ever brand Justin Timberlake a hot mess, but his new facial hair is giving me no choice. I caught him trotting around my marvelous Manhattan while filming Inside Llewyn Davis looking more like a hipster bartender than our delicious little JT.

Dear Gossip Girl, Help me get out of the friend zone! I’m really close to this guy that I like. He knows how I feel but says he doesn’t want anything but friendship. But sometimes, things he says to me are REALLY confusing and make is seem like he does want to date me. Maybe he’s just scared because he’s never had a girlfriend? What should I do–just kiss him and see what happens? –Liza
Being trapped in the dreaded friend zone is essentially romantic purgatory. You’re not quite with the object of your affection, but you aren’t able to move on to your next conquest, either. Liza, my love, think back to a time when you’ve had a guy friend who was so obviously smitten. Why did you keep him around? Could it be for the silky little ego stroke that comes from knowing you’re adored?
My advice? Make yourself far less available to him. If my many romances with scores of stock market geniuses have taught me anything, it’s the concept of supply and demand. Diamonds, for example, are only valuable because they’re so rare. If you’ve told him how you feel and he doesn’t pounce on this 24-karat opportunity, cut and run, darling. Don’t act like a rhinestone when you really are a gem…XOXO.

Stars of all persuasions are escaping the frigid winter and heading south, and Florence + The Machine frontwoman Florence Welch is no exception, jetting to Brazil for some fun in the sun. Where she does stray, sadly, is in her unfortunate choice of swimwear. Flo proves that her love of vintage clothes extends even on the shore, but this frumpy, lumpy bikini does nothing to flatter her already boyish figure.

Dear Gossip Girl, I need love advice! I have been dating this guy off and on for a while and recently I moved a little over an hour away to go to college with no car. I am completely in love with him and he seems to feel the same right now, but I am afraid that he will just give up on us. What can I do to make it last? –Megan
You say you’ve been on-and-off but you’re in love with each other? Something doesn’t quite add up, darling. Before you start hitchhiking to see your boy toy, make sure you two are on the same sonnet-filled page.
First, test his feelings for you with some take-no-prisoners questions. Then, if you’re sure you’re both smitten kittens, up your cell phone plan, agree to open, honest communication and schedule your first romantic rendezvous posthaste.
Just remember, darling, nothing kills an LDR like jealousy, so try to keep yours in check. Ditching the next Brian Atwood sample sale just to sift through your bf’s Facebook and grill him about every little wall post will only result in an icy cold beau…and a closet depressingly devoid of these:
The bottom line, Megan, my pet, is that your new school is filled to the brim with delicious new boys just waiting to be kissed. So if your current guy is on the fence, ask yourself this: What would Gossip Girl do? XOXO….
