Anne Hathaway’s Drastic Diet Results

Spotted: Anne Hathaway looking as Les Miserables as she probably feels on the set of her new movie. Anne dropped 16 pounds to play tubercular hooker Fantine thanks to eating just 500 calories and working out two hours per day, five days a week. Take a look at AH and tell me if her hard work is paying off and how far you’d go to land the role of a lifetime…XOXO.

Katharine McPhee

In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. This week, we look at the ladies who are in the spotlight for their acting roles! Check them out below:

  • Katharine McPhee – Who doesn’t love a good musical? This former American Idol contestant stars in the new series Smash which follows two Broadway hopefuls as they compete to snag a part as Marilyn Monroe. The show, which premiered on Monday, received good ratings and reviews, and Katharine is getting a lot of praise for her role. Also, doesn’t she just look smashing lately? (Sorry, just had to do it!)
  • Naomi Watts – The 43-year-old actress has just received an “honor” — as she’s calling it. She has been cast to play the part of the late Princess Diana in an upcoming movie about the royal’s last two years called Caught in Flight. Naomi told Variety: “Princess Diana was loved across the world, and I look forward to rising to the challenge of playing her on screen.” We think the blonde beauty will play the role well.
  • Rachel McAdams – Just in time for Valentine’s Day (to fulfill our need for an awesomely romantic movie with a side of Channing Tatum), Rachel is starring in The Vow. Grab the tissues (per usual) and either a girlfriend or guy who is willing to do anything for you and head to the movies this weekend!

This week’s “It Girls” receive the “Classic” honor for their Hollywood glamour! Check out more info on The It Girl book Classic here! And take the poll below to let us know who you think deserves the title of “Ultimate It Girl of the Week!”

In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. This week, we look at the ladies who snagged a coveted Oscar nomination! Check them out below:

  • Rooney Mara – Nominated for Best Actress for her role as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, her character is a troubled young woman who is hired as a research assistant by a journalist investigating a decades-old mystery. Just as intense as the movie was = how intense of an actress Rooney turned out to be. And it showed enough to get the attention of the Academy.
  • Michelle Williams – When someone asks you to play Marylin Monroe in a movie, you say, “When do I start?!” Michelle Williams got the honor of portraying the legendary actress in My Week With Marilyn, scoring her the nod. She also just picked up a Golden Globe award for the same role!
  • Melissa McCarthy – Her movie Bridesmaids made us fall in love with puppies, Wilson Phillips and laughing all over again! Melissa is being nominated in the best supporting actress category for her role as the crude sister of the groom.

Is Taylor Swift Ready to Be Miserables?

Listen up Taylor Swift fanatics. I hear that she is thisclose to starring in the big screen remake of classic musical Les Miserables as Eponine. If T.Swizzy lands the role, she’ll star alongside Amanda Seyfried as Cosette and Eddie Redmayne as Marius.

If you were unlucky enough to see Tay in Valentine’s Day, tell me if you think she has the acting chops to carry this iconic role…XOXO.

“I believe in hard work. In self-drive and self-worth. I’m a huge foodie, I love food. But when people say, ‘I can’t lose weight’, no no no, you can. Is Mila’s view from the top of the world a little distorted? Or is she refreshingly honest?
