Which Gossip Girl Character is the Most Kissable?
Apr 13th
Mirror, Mirror on the wall, which Gossip Girl star is the most kissable of all?
Seems our Upper East Siders (and the Brooklyn outsiders) are no strangers to locking lips…especially with one another. In fact, by now, each one of our favorite Gossip Girl characters has shared a smooch with nearly every other character on the show!
So…with all the rumors flying around the Twitterverse about National Kissing Day today, we attempted to make a list of all the hook-ups and stolen embraces of the Gossip Girl fam. Here’s a look at a few of those memorable Gossip Girl kisses that have given us butterflies in our tummies over the past five seasons.

Nate and Blair share a kiss in the pool back in Season 1. Photo Credit: The CW One of Dan’s less impressive moments, Dan and Georgina shared a kiss during Season 3. Which Gossip Girl Character is the Most Kissable?
Producers’ Preview: “Salon Of The Dead”
Apr 12th
Can’t wait for what’s going to happen in Season 5, Episode 20 of Gossip Girl — “Salon Of The Dead”? Well, here’s a sneak peek of all the juicy drama that’s about to go down.
To celebrate their official coming out as a couple, Blair and Dan host a glamorous British-themed Salon, including guests Julian Tepper and Jenna Gribbon (founders of The Oracle Club). Lola (guest star Ella Rae Peck) lands the audition of a lifetime, but Gossip Girl may have other plans for the Upper East Side’s latest It Girl. Meanwhile, Lily and Rufus disagree over the best way to handle the Ivy situation, and Serena and Diana face-off over secrets they both would prefer remain secrets.
Gossip Girl story editor Natalie Krinskey, said “We read about a salon in New York City called the Oracle Club – we thought it’d be the perfect kind of thing to simulate for Dan and Blair, something they would really do. I think they’re really hitting their rhythm as a couple in this episode. I this time they’re kind of flourishing, full-throttle.”
Executive producer Joshua Safran gave insight about other plot lines that we’ll see in the episode. “Lola does not like how Gossip Girl treated her last week and has a suspicion that Gossip Girl might not be Gossip Girl right now and wants to try to prove her suspicion. And of course that doesn’t sit well with Serena.
“Also Rufus and Lily, they’re relationships have had their ups and downs but for the most part they’ve been together. They really are hitting some major stumping blocks.”
Check out the producers’ preview below. What do you think is going to happen in this episode? Leave a comment to share your thoughts.

Gossip Girl Recap Season 5, Episode 18
Apr 3rd
In Gossip Girl Season 5, Episode 18 “Con Heir,” we return after a significant hiatus and it seems that during the break, Dan and Blair have been having some trouble with finding a perfect moment to consummate their new relationship. The episode begins with Blair showing up at Dan’s apartment and taking her coat off to reveal a skimpy lingerie piece. Only, Lily and Rufus are there for brunch. Yikes!
They finally get a hotel room and the big event happens, but it’s not the fireworks either of them had in their head. Dan goes to Nate and starts drinking, talking about the issue. Blair goes to Dorota (who had her baby!) and shoots vodka while Dorota says (the BEST line of the night) “Don’t tell me there’s an anatomical reason he’s so lonely.”
Blair and Dan head to Ivy’s party (more about that below) and while in the elevator (both ridiculously drunk from drowning their sorrows about the bad sex), they finally do it (don’t worry, they pulled the “Stop” button so that no one could interrupt them!) And it’s good. And they’re all giggly and happy and go for whiskey in Brooklyn.
Other plot lines…
William van der Woodsen tricks Ivy – Ivy is so sad that the Rhodes family is mad at her (um, why would they be?), she says she’d pay Serena’s dad whatever it took to help her. He agrees and tells her to have a benefit party in Cece’s honor so that everyone will have to come and play nice. But really, what he was doing was making her engage in an illegal activity because paying the executor of the will is a no-no.
Serena ruins the plan – Lola overhears William and Ivy talking about the check so she tells Nate who tells Serena who now has access to Gossip Girl’s website. So, she sets a blast to go out at 8 pm and heads to the party. But that’s when she finds out that no one should know anything until the check is written. Oops! She tries to make it to the computer to delete the post before it goes out, but it’s too late. Everyone is mad at her. But to salvage anything that they had, Lola steps up and says that she will be a witness in court to the fact that she saw this illegal activity with Ivy go down. Now the Rhodes family loves Lola.
Nate fires Serena – An investor had come into the office and Nate bragged about Serena and the fact that she was going to write about this Ivy drama on her column S by S. But after Gossip Girl delivers the juicy scoop first, the investor didn’t make an offer. And to get back at Serena, Nate cuts her from The Spectator (which will probably give her more time to be Gossip Girl, yes?)
Chuck tries to figure out who saved his life - This whole time, Chuck thought that Jack was the one who donated his blood for the transfusion after the car accident, but when he goes to the hospital and asks the nurse about his medical history, she can’t find his chart. He says something about Jack donating blood and she looked very confused. She leaves Jack’s chart open on her desk and walks away, giving Chuck full access to Jack’s medical history (that was kind of too easy). In big letters it says he has Hepatitis C and is unable to give blood. In the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the wing that Chuck was building in Jack’s honor, a little sick boy is there and Chuck says Jack should donate blood. But he knows he can’t, so it’s awkward. Turns out Chuck hired the little boy actor to make Jack confess. Who do you think is Chuck’s real donor?

Gossip Girl Recap Season 5, Episode 18
Exec Producer Joshua Safran Gives The Scoop on “Con Heir”
Apr 2nd
Tonight’s the night! Gossip Girl returns with an all new episode “Con Heir” after its hiatus. The last time we saw the Upper East Siders in “The Princess Dowry” episode, Dan and Blair decided to be together. Tonight’s episode focuses on their sexcapades (or lack thereof…!)
But much more is happening in the story line. We chatted with GG executive producer Joshua Safran to find out what we can expect tonight and the rest of the season.
Check out the scoop in the gallery below.
“Dan has loved Blair from afar for a while but has also been her friend first before she really even knew his feelings and then realized that she had them herself. So I think their relationship is one that comes out of mutual friendship, whereas her relationship with Chuck wasn’t really a friendship. They were sort of antagonists with each other that kind of got turned on by that. I think as Blair comes out of the cloud that was being a princess and realizing that wasn’t what she wanted, it will be interesting to see this dynamic between what’s it like to date a friend versus date somebody who has a lot of drama. Blair will make a final decision. She will decide what she wants for herself. It will be clear in the finale.” “Chuck’s upcoming story is an emotional one for him. He is trying to sort things out for himself. Whenever he is in a place where he needs help, Blair always wants to be the one to help him and I think maybe this time around she wishes she didn’t want to help him, but she still does. He is on sort of a search who in fact saved his life, and I think it opens some doors that he thought were closed.” “She’s back and fully a player on the Upper East Side and much the concern of everybody — not just Lily and Rufus, but Serena, Blair everybody. We feel like Ivy is never actually evil; she’s just motivated, you understand her motivation. I understand the characters think her motivations are evil, but she was just an actress who was hired to play a part. She did not expect to go in this deeply and did not expect to fall in love with these people. It’s not so much ‘I want money’ — it’s that she had a terrible childhood and terrible life and she would love to be a part of their world.” “Diana and Nate had a relationship that was complicated to say the least and when she left, she left under the assumption that she was the one that had added all of Gossip Girl’s sources and Serena and Blair know that’s not true. But Nate does not. So now that Diana is back and Nate is very happy with Lola, the question becomes what is going to happen between them once he finds out that Diana isn’t the one who betrayed him and all his friends.” “The question is will she be drawn to its power or will she stay far away from it, and the answer is revealed by the end of this next episode. Then what she does thereafter you’ll have to wait and see. It’s a really fun story. We feel like this season has been about things being stripped away from Serena whether it’s her job, her friendship with Blair, Dan, so now that she has this chance at gaining some power back, how she uses it will be interesting.”

The Top 5 Most Evil Georgina Sparks Moments
Feb 3rd
The topic on everyone’s lips this week is the return of Georgina Sparks to Gossip Girl. Not only did she stir up some trouble (per usual) in the 100th episode, but the last scene showed her writing a post for Gossip Girl. Is she the secret identity behind the blog? We’re all waiting on the edge of our seats to find out the truth!
In the meantime, we’re looking back on G’s most evil moments on the show so far. Check out the trouble that Georgina, played by Michelle Trachtenberg, has stirred up as one of the most infamous recurring character guests on the show!
The night before Serena goes to take her SATs, Georgina drugs her Diet Coke. Serena wakes up the next morning in Georgina’s apartment, and ends up missing the test.
Photo Credit: The CW Georgina crashes Lily and Rufus’ wedding and says that Scott (whom she invites) is their lovechild. She also stole a piece of wedding cake.
Photo Credit: The CW It was revealed that the reason why Serena left for boarding school was because she went to join Georgina and a boy named Pete Fairman at a hotel. There was secretly a video camera in the room to tape him and Serena having sex. Serena didn’t want to do it, so she instead passed Pete a line of cocaine which he ultimately overdosed on. Georgina made Serena flee the hotel before paramedics came, and Pete was carried away dead.
Photo Credit: The CW Georgina surprises Dan and tells him she’s pregnant with his baby. He goes on to believe it’s his until they finally get a DNA test.
Photo Credit: The CW Blair revealed that Georgina was supposed to be at an equestrian circuit but sold her show pony for cocaine.

Cecily von Ziegesar Recaps the 100th Episode of Gossip Girl
Feb 1st
Who better to recap each week’s new episode of Gossip Girl than author Cecily von Ziegesar? In this week’s edition, she talks about her theory on Blair’s wedding outfit and that Georgina’s Gossip Girl reveal might not be what it seems.
Hey people,
I don’t know about you but it took me a night or two of fitful sleep to process what went down on Monday. Not sure I’ll ever fully process all of it, because it was a lot. I might seek professional help or medication or maybe I should just start my own blog…. Anyway, enough about me, let’s analyze the craziness.
My wedding outfit theory:
Of course the wedding would turn out to be an ill-fated sham, I could tell right away. Not because Blair was totally marrying the wrong guy, but because of the dresses and hairdos. I know I’m supposed to get all gooey over Blair in her wedding dress, but she wouldn’t have worn her hair so long and unkempt-looking and so much blue eye shadow if the wedding was meant to be. She would have had her hair combed into a sleek up-do, with pearly, natural makeup. And Serena wouldn’t have worn baby pink or visible underwires unless she totally knew she was about to become the most meddlesome maid of honor in history. If the wedding had been blessed, the bridesmaids would’ve worn flattering dresses, not puffballs of peony pink. And the boys would not have had their hair combed back to make them look old and unhandsome. Watch, when Blair finally marries the man she loves, the whole picture will be edible.
Favorite villainous appearance:
Georgina. Sheee’s back!!! She steals the show with her evil ways every time. This time she stole the words right out of Gossip Girl’s mouth. I have the feeling we haven’t untwisted the whole GG pretzel here though, if you know what I mean. Georgina has quite a bag of tricks and all may not be as it seems.
Favorite moment/line:
I have to say, I’m a romantic. I loved the do-over moment when Dan looks up and sees Serena looking down at him and smiling. It was totally reminiscent of that scene in the Palace Hotel in episode one. And then I loved it when Serena says, “I love you Dan Humphrey, always have, always will,†knowing that he won’t reciprocate. I like it when Serena’s humble, because it’s so rare.
Favorite dress:
Georgina as a choir boy. Although I’m bummed I didn’t get to see Chuck in that get-up.
Favorite hairstyle:
I have to say the evil priest’s hair made me giggle every time. It looked like it was combed with a rake dripping with hair gel. Where was he ordained — becomeapriestonthejerseyshore.com?
Favorite wedding guest:
The whole lot get props for maintaining their composure during what turned out to be the craziest wedding any of them has ever attended, but I have to say I loved seeing Cyrus Rose again. He always lends a dapper elegance to every occasion, and makes us all feel a little smarter simply by being there.
Most ominous music:
That song when Blair and Louis are at the altar for the second time, really going through with it. We might have been at a funeral. We might have been bleeding to death. That song just made me wanna die.
OK, now I’m depressed. But the good thing is, things can only get better, right? There are so many messes, we just have to sit back and watch them… turn into bigger messes!
You know you love it.

Gossip Girl Recap: Season 5 Episode 12
Jan 24th
Spoiler Alert! Do not read the below if you have not seen Gossip Girl Season 5 Episode 12 “Father and the Bride” and do not want to be spoiled!
A bachelorette party, an arrest, an evil stepsister who may have gone good… here are some of the big moments from the episode!
- Blair’s Bachelorette Party – Princess Beatrice is back and wants to play nice (although we find out it’s because she and Father Cavalia are plotting to get Blair drunk in hopes she’ll leave Louis for Chuck). Beatrice, the bride-to-be, and the minions go to a Mexican restaurant, and the girls fix a drinking game to ensure that B takes a fair share of tequila shots. “You cannot choose who you love, but you can choose how you love them,” she says during her drunken heart-to-heart about Louis and Chuck with Beatrice. When she steps outside, a girl hands her a joint right before a cop comes up — she mistakes him for a stripper — and he arrests her. Oops!
- Chuck Stalks Blair - Chuck tells Nate he’s been following Blair. Nate reminds him that there is a fine line between surveillance and stalking. Blair spots Chuck while she and Beatrice are waiting in line for macaroons. “What are you doing here?!” she asks him. “And don’t say shopping for velour track pants!” We all get a mental image of Chuck in those pants.
- Father Cavalia Gets Even More Creepy – The priest to the royal family poses as Father Smythe as Blair confesses to him that she pressed the “door close” button in the elevator even though she saw a woman running to get in (ha!). She also confesses that she wants to bring Father Smythe with her to Monaco when she becomes Princess. She walks away, the camera reveals he was the one in the confession box, and he looks off in a super evil way.
- Nate and Gossip Girl Get Close – Gossip Girl tells Nate that Tripp was the one that sabotaged his car (the one that ultimately hurt Blair and Chuck), and in exchange Nate doesn’t publish Serena’s column on The Spectator’s website. It’s super awkward when the press is there taking pics of S holding up her iPad and there’s no column. Serena snoops on Nate’s computer, finds out he’s been talking with Gossip Girl, and the two of them get in a huge fight at the office — Nate fires Serena. The fight gets leaked on Gossip Girl’s site. But then the two team up together to get back at Tripp.
- Serena and Dan Fake Get Together and Break Up – Ever since their fake-but-totally-real midnight kiss in the last episode, the two have been “keeping up appearances” to make everyone think they’re a real couple. But then Dan’s agent tells him to back away from Serena… it’s bad for his future book deal. So the two stop, but you can tell Serena really wants to be with him. At the end of the episode, Serena is basically asking him out on a fake-but-real date to protect Blair until the wedding.
- Louis Had Dan Write His Wedding Vows – Blair finds Louis’ wedding vows in her bedside table and tells Serena they are perfect. But, cut to Brooklyn and Dan’s receiving a package that includes a note from Louis saying thanks for writing the vows. There’s no way that’s going to remain a secret next week!

Cecily Von Ziegesar Recaps “The End of the Affairâ€
Jan 18th
Who better to recap each week’s new episode of Gossip Girl than author Cecily von Ziegesar? In this week’s edition, she talks about the emotional distress the episode gave her and chooses the dress that dazzled her most.
I don’t know about you, but last night I went into a sort of trance while watching. Not that I don’t always go into a fascinated, Campari-induced trance, but I just couldn’t believe that we were already out of the hospital and the wedding was going ahead as planned and no one running around freaking out like the world was ending. Even Chuck was sort of calm about the fact that he had almost died and then come to only to find that Blair wanted nothing to do with him. And what’s with Blair and God? Is she going to become a nun? Are they all still in shock? I know I am. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same again. This goes beyond drama. This feels like brain freeze — a pleasurable brain freeze (like the kind you get from amazingly good, really cold ice cream).
High point(s): there are actually two:
- Dan and Serena’s New Year’s eve kiss. I knew it was coming and I thought I’d be sort of “ho-hum†about it. But the spark is still there and I loved their alarmed expressions afterwards which I think were REAL, if you know what I mean. Like, not acted?
- Vera Wang’s little guest appearance at her store. She’s so beautiful and quiet. And what a nice thing to do for your life’s work—design amazing wedding dresses. Sigh.
Low point(s): there are actually two of these as well:
- Blair talking to God all the time. I miss the old spunky Blair and I want her back. But I’d much rather she become a nun than marry Louis. He’s a dweeb.
- The real Charlie Rhodes. She just didn’t do it for me. I thought she’d be more like… Ivy.
Hottest boy: I know I do this almost every time, but Chuck, Dan, and Nate all looked pretty amazing last night. They’re aging well those boys. Very well. And all three of them are nice too. And smart. I should know—I’ve met them. Sigh.
Prettiest look: I loved Serena’s cropped striped cardigan paired with that spangly tutu of a dress right at the start of the show. She looked beautiful, fun and totally hip, which is what I aspire to when I get dressed in the morning (but usually I fail). Of course, most bloggers blog in stained pjs because they don’t actually have to leave the house to work. Not Serena though—she blogs in couture.
Best New Yorky spot you don’t usually see on TV: Julliard. In fact I’ve never seen it at all, me being ungifted in the arts. (Although I hear they offer night school piano lessons for people like me!) So thanks for that sneak peak. It looks nice with the red carpeting and modern chairs. Perhaps I’ll check it out.
Best line: Dan saying to Chuck over and over, “I live in Brooklyn,†which is the line he uses as an excuse for not knowing anything about anything even though he always seems to know everything about everything. Which is sort of like me. Oh, and I live in Brooklyn too.
Can’t wait for next week to boggle my mind.
You know you love it,
xoxo
