Whether you’re cut from W magazine or thrown out of Pinkberry, getting the axe is never fun–as pop-star-turned-X-Factor-judge Cheryl Cole now knows firsthand. The super cute Brit has been fired from the yet to air new series. Apparently, producers were concerned that no one would understand her Geordie accent, which turns a phrase like “My brother look’s at the water” to “Ma bruh-va lukes a th’wa’a.” Brits deem the Geordie accent the most charming of lilts, but check out this vid of Cheryl chatting about Simon Cowell and tell me: Would have gotten tired of trying to decipher Cher’s Geordie jargon every week?

Is Justin Bieber the Best of the Worst?

You may find this hard to ”belieb,” but not everyone is a Justin Bieber fan. In fact, British music magazine NME has nominated the Biebes for “Villain of the Year,â€Â “Least Stylish Star,†and “Worst Album.†His fellow nominees include Axl Rose, Ke$ha, and Simon Cowell. But does JB really belong in such bad company?

After yesterday’s news that this season of American Idol will be Simon Cowell’s last, it came as no surprise that primetime’s favorite meanie made a second announcement: he’ll be importing his hit X-Factor series to American shores. Rumors are swirling that former Idol judge Paula Abdul will be joining Simon at the judges’ table when the series debuts in 2011. With Paula already gone from Idol, and Simon leaving in May, the show might be on its last leg. (Sorry, Randy Jackson, but no matter how many times you say “dawg,†we still don’t take you seriously.) Will you still watch after Simon leaves?
