They say that music sets the mood, and in this week’s episode of Gossip Girl, the plot was very much dictated by the songs playing the background. The disco-themed ep featured music from old-school artists like Donna Summer, Kool and the Gang, and Chic. Joining the lineup were some up-and-comers including All Mankind, a group of Australian guys currently based in the UK.
Their song “Simple Desire” played during the scene when Max and Charlie/Ivy met for coffee. A great soundtrack for a little manipulation, blackmail and romance gone awry, yes? Check out some of the lyrics from the song below:

Look out, Lil Wayne. Taylor Swift may be giving you a run for your money in the tattoo department. Before her recent Milwaukee concert, the country cutie was spotted sporting some serious arm art, featuring the lyrics to one of her songs: “I slept in castles and fell in love because I was taught to dream.” Don’t worry darlings, T-Swift’s arm art is just temporary. The question is, do you think her music will be everlasting?
