Love or Loathe: Dakota Fanning’s Headgear

“What is that on your head?” is never a good reaction to an outfit, my pets. Yet I found myself asking Dakota Fanning that very thing at last night’s Tribeca Film Festival fete hosted by Vanity Fair magazine thanks to her gold headband/halo type accoutrement. Clearly, she was going for some sort of bohemian look. But paired with such a generic, forgettable dress, I’m afraid her goal of being fashion forward fell flat.
Do you think her headpiece is super unique or awfully ugly? Is there another starlet who could have pulled off this Greek chic look?

What a difference a day makes, darlings. Earlier this week I spied lovely Leighton Meester prancing around the Met in an outrageously gorgeous pink Oscar de la Renta gown. But alas, when it comes time for L to dress herself, we get…this. The Queen B turned up at the amFAR gala with furry thighs and soccer mom hair.
Could this be the worst look of the winter? Tell me another starlet who trumps poor Leighton in the fashion disaster department…XOXO.

Can you picture Blake Lively in an apron and crocs? She will if Top Chef judge Gail Simmons has her way. The foodie is itching to get the starlet to make a cameo on the hit cooking competition, saying, “She loves to bake and I heard that she went to culinary school recently and did a cooking class for her birthday. She needs to come and cook with us! She is amazing and freakin’ beautiful!” Hmm…who would look more out of place—B trying to perfect a soufflé, or Gail teetering around the Upper East in 6-inch Loubs?
