Justin Bieber’s favorite protege Carly Rae Jepsen may be 26 years old, but she’s dressing like a sartorially confused 12-year-old. I spied CRJ at the Wango Tango concert in LA wearing what appears to be a skort–shudder!–and clunky, juvenile platform sneaks. With record-breaking downloads, shouldn’t this pop phenom step up her game in the fashion department as well?

Hot Mess: Scarlett Johansson at the Met Costume Gala

The rest of the fashion world has crowned Scarlett Johansson the belle of last night’s Met Gala thanks to her tulle and sequin Dolce & Gabbana gown, but I’ve never played by the rules. I happen to think that ScarJo’s mermaid dress is woefully unflattering and unbalanced. I would have rather seen her remove the pouf and take a chance on a super short mini at this usually floor-length affair. What are your thoughts on SJ’s latest look?

Fashion Don’t: Joe Jonas

At last night’s Jeffrey Fashion Cares 2012 in NYC, Joe Jonas seemed to have found a trend that he likes: cuffs. But sometimes when you love something, you have to let it go. I can handle JJ’s rolled up sleeves, but his too-tight jacket and is all wrong. Even worse? The cuffed pants make him look four feet tall, and distinctly female.
If this JoBro doesn’t cool it with this trend, he’s going to find himself in another type of cuffs, courtesy of the fashion police…XOXO.

Sometimes, two rights make a wrong. Nina Dobrev stepped out to Paleyfest in L.A. wearing this awkward gown from fellow fashionista Rachel Zoe. Part tweed, part prom dress, Zoe’s latest creation is all awful. Even worse? Nina’s out-of-season strappy Jimmy Choos. Take a good long look at this style and tell me if this Vampire Diaries star–and Ms. Zoe–should go back to the fashion drawing board…XOXO.

Once upon a time at a charity gala’s buffet, I ended up taking a smidge of every dish offered and the result was a very un-delicious plate of too many flavors. Amanda Seyfried’s too-busy, overdone Prabal Gurung dress is the fashion equivalent of that buffet. Even AS herself seems to realize this too late and is perhaps trying to hitchike away from the LA premiere of her new flick, In Time. Between the belt, print, unflattering shape and awkward ruffle, what would you have edited out of this look to make it more wearable?
