Throughout all of the seasons of Gossip Girl thus far, there’s been strife between the Upper East Siders over who’s really the Queen B. Lest Blair or Serena, or even Jenny, Vanessa or Georgina forget, however, we want to remind everyone that one person literally runs that show, and the entire social scene of New York–Gossip Girl. As if there weren’t enough problems or enough tension created by the other characters, Gossip Girl adds more drama still to the mix with her muckraking and mean blog posts.

Happy Graduation?

After all the drama the Upper East Siders went through in high school, they were more than happy to leave it behind after graduation. Gossip Girl, however, wasn’t exactly okay with that idea, as she showed when she posted the following on her blog: “Not so fast. You’re not graduating until I give you my diplomas. Mine are labels, and labels stick.

Nate Archibald: Class Whore,

Dan Humphrey: The Ultimate Insider,

Chuck Bass: Coward,

Blair Waldorf: Weakling,

And as for Serena Van Der Woodsen, after today, you are officially irrelevant.”

Ouch. No matter how rich or beautiful they may be, Gossip Girl reminded everyone else with this post exactly who held all the power.

Just a Friendly Hug?

What’s that saying about the faster the rise…? Oh, right, “Here’s an inside tip, Little J: The faster you rise, the harder you fall. Hope that Hello Kitty sleeping bag doubles as a parachute.” When Gossip Girl said this way back in Season 1, none of us knew that she would be helping so greatly in making Jenny fall, but she did, starting with one little rumor. Remember the picture above? Nate and Jenny are just sharing a hug–but that’s not what Gossip Girl implied! True, she didn’t call her out by name, but she put Little J in a very sticky situation for a while. Helping the Queen B’s boyfriend cheat on her isn’t the best move if you want to be popular.

Caught on Camera!

Remember Season 2 Nate–homeless, fatherless, recently girlfriend-less? Well, he had one saving grace in Dan Humphrey, who offered for Nate to live with him and his family, including Jenny. Jenny and Nate tried to fight their attraction but ended up kissing publicly. Big mistake, Nate. Like Blair, you’d think he’d have realized that Gossip Girl has eyes everywhere, but apparently not. When the news got out, Dan played the overprotective older brother card and kicked him out, leaving him once again with nowhere to go. You’d think Gossip Girl would go easier on him, considering the situation he was in, but this event was just another reminded that no matter your money or social status, on the Upper East Side, Gossip Girl holds all the power.

Runaway Bride

No wonder Blair’s running–we would be too if our hidden love for someone else was revealed at our wedding. Gossip Girl (aka Georgina Sparks after she had taken over the website for a short time), blasting a video confession of Blair’s love for Chuck with her groom standing right there? Tsk, tsk. Then again, Blair should have known better–did she really think Gossip Girl wouldn’t find out?

Dear Diary…

After the fiasco at her wedding, you’d think Blair would know better than to assume she could keep any secrets from Gossip Girl, which is why it’s no surprise that if Blair had a diary, Gossip Girl would leak it. The real shock was Serena’s involvement in the scandal. Really, B, with friends like yours, who needs enemies?

Are You The Ultimate Gossip Girl Fan?

Gorgeous looks. Designer clothes. A confident strut. While those sightings happen frequently on the Upper East Side, they are everywhere you look at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. When Manhattan’s elite converges at the tents to see the designers present their new fashion lines, fun is had and, of course, chaos ensues.

TRESemmé and Twilight star Nikki Reed have created a new video series to show a behind-the-scenes look at the styling that goes on at the shows.

“I think that hair completes the look on the runway,” Nikki said. “It doesn’t just happen as easily as one might think it does. [Fashion Week] is a creative explosion. Backstage, the atmosphere is always chaotic. Last-minute changes are very stressful.”

Nikki also said she hopes the series TRESemmé Style Setters gives a real insight into what stylists go through. “This is a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how a look is pulled together.”

Janie Syfu, TRESemmé MBFW Stylist is also featured in the videos. “We kind of have to make it up as we go,” she said about the stress of a stylist. “If you want to make it in the fashion industry, you come here. And all the opportunity is there, you just need to grab it.”

With the Upper East Side a royal mess, is Chuck Bass turning into the new Lonely Boy?

Now that Blair’s committed herself to Louis (or at least for a year so that her fam won’t have to pay the dowry), it seems like the illustrious bad boy is about to check-in to the Heartbreak Hotel rather than the Empire. Sure, everybody loves the brooding outsider, but it seems like Chuck’s taking plays from Dan’s handbook now. Although we may have seen the hint of a scheme at Blair’s wedding, Chuck suddenly seems more interested in satisfaction than sabotage. We all knew that the Bass had lost some of his bite, but could this pure-bred pit-bull have been reduced to nothing but a shelter puppy?

Meanwhile, the original LB, Dan, is stepping to the bad side. We already knew he could spin a story, but the brooding writer is taking a much more hands on approach with his fiction lately, constantly lying to cover up for Blair. It’s no secret that Dan is lusting after Queen B, and now it looks like Dan’s the one who sent in the infamous video to GG during Blair’s wedding.

With Chuck and Dan taking a walk in the other’s shoes, who will end up with Blair? You know what they say Chuck, nice guys always finish last.

Gossip Girl Season 5: Could Chuck Bass be the new Lonely Boy?

With Chuck and Blair on the outs, the stage is set for the rebirth of another Gossip Girl classic couple, but will Dan and Serena be the ones back on the relationship roller coaster? The original “it” couple of the series, Dan and Serena seem like they’re headed for another attempt at happily ever after with a New Years Eve kiss in last week’s episode. Sure, it all may have been a ploy to protect B’s new affair with God, but S’s lingering looks on her step-brother definitely weren’t part of the scheme.

As if their sibling status wasn’t complicated enough, nobody can forget that Dan recently confessed his love for Blair. True, she may be heading down the aisle with Louis, but that hasn’t stopped Queen B from cozying up to Lonely Boy in recent episodes. They say that crisis brings people together, but on the Upper East Side crisis only seems to bring together another crisis.

In Gossip Girl episode 5.06, Nate Archibald gave his boss and cougar lover Diana Meade an ultimatum…go public with our relationship or it’s over. Well, now the two are not only co-workers who steam up the windows in their office but they are sexing it up at home as well. Apparently though, mixing business and pleasure isn’t the recipe for a happy relationship.

Is it just us or does Diana look a little exasperated with her Upper East Side boy toy? Nate Archibald is a total hottie but he seems to be the overbearing one in this relationship. Hopefully he’ll take up Diana’s offer to kick back and have some fun while she’s away on her business trip!

The Disney teen queen was spotted at her Atlantic City concert flashing her love for her Bieber beau with a faux “Justin” tattoo on her wrist—complete with a heart underneath. How sweet. Too bad the ink only further ticked off an already jealous gang of Beliebers. But Sel’s message came across loud and clear: The Biebs is mine, suckers!

Jessica Szohr may have ditched the Upper East Side, but I hear that our little Jess will turn up alongside Skins star Luke Pasqualino and Eragon hottie Ed Speelers in the comedy-horror flick, Love Bites, about a teenage werewolf preying on virgins.
