“The toughest, bravest girl I know? My assistant Megan. We almost died once in an airplane, and I looked over at her, and Megan just just powdering her nose. She is bad-ass. When we got off the plane, she was like ‘Oh my God, that was horrifying’, and I was like, ‘Really? Because you didn’t even break a sweat.”Scarlett Johansson may play the kick-ass Black Widow in The Avengers, but in real life, it doesn’t seem like she’s got too much action going on to tell about.

Check out the video below of ScarJo re-counting this experience. How would you re-tell this humdrum anecdote to make it more juicy?

Nikki Reed Takes You Behind the Scenes of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week With TRESemmé! [Sponsored]

Nikki Reed Tresemme Style Setters

Gorgeous looks. Designer clothes. A confident strut. While those sightings happen frequently on the Upper East Side, they are everywhere you look at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. When Manhattan’s elite converges at the tents to see the designers present their new fashion lines, fun is had and, of course, chaos ensues.

TRESemmé and Twilight star Nikki Reed have created a new video series to show a behind-the-scenes look at the styling that goes on at the shows.

“I think that hair completes the look on the runway,” Nikki said. “It doesn’t just happen as easily as one might think it does. [Fashion Week] is a creative explosion. Backstage, the atmosphere is always chaotic. Last-minute changes are very stressful.”

Nikki also said she hopes the series TRESemmé Style Setters gives a real insight into what stylists go through. “This is a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how a look is pulled together.”

Janie Syfu, TRESemmé MBFW Stylist is also featured in the videos. “We kind of have to make it up as we go,” she said about the stress of a stylist. “If you want to make it in the fashion industry, you come here. And all the opportunity is there, you just need to grab it.”

Check out the video below! Think you could handle the stress of being a stylist at MBFW? Tell us in a comment.

Ed Westwick Video Interview: “Leighton is a Sweetheart”

Ed Westwick on location for

Need a little Ed Westwick in your life during the Gossip Girl hiatus? We’ve got just the cure! The CW has just released a new video interview with him answering questions from fans.

On The Drama Between Chuck and Blair - “The relationship between Chuck and Blair, I think everyone agrees they’re soulmates, but can they get it together? I don’t know. They’re really pushing the boundaries now—they’ve got to figure it out.”

On Leighton Meester - “My favorite part about working with Leighton is that she’s a really funny character. She has a great time and is an absolute sweetheart.”

On Chuck’s Wardrobe - “Wearing Chuck’s wardrobe is great. It’s one of my favorite things. He gets to wear these exquisite clothes, finely tailored. And whoever you are — whether you’re playing a character on TV or someone who’s fortunate enough to own these clothes in a personal collection — you feel pretty good doing it.”

On What He’d Be If He Weren’t An Actor - “I probably would have been a plastic surgeon,” he said jokingly. “I don’t know — probably a failed musician… a failed international superstar.”

On His Current Projects - “I was just in a film called J. Edgar and I’m also doing a feature version of Romeo and Juliet, which I’m very excited about. I’m playing Tybalt. Hailee Steinfeld is playing Juliet and Damian Lewis is playing Romeo. And it’s going to be a great adaptation for this generation, so I hope everyone goes and sees it when it’s out.”

Georgina Sparks and Dan Humphrey The Princess Dowry

In Gossip Girl Season 5, Episode 17 “The Princess Dowry,” so many twists and turns happened that we thought we were on a roller-coaster! Find out the major plot lines below:

  • Nate and Lola are Hooking Up – We left off on “Cross Rhodes” when Lola found out that Ivy has been impersonating her and she meets the family she didn’t know she had. She didn’t want to be alone after that life-changing moment, so she asked Nate if she could go back with him. The two actually look happy together when they wake up the next morning. Serena calls Nate looking for Lola and finally convinces him to bring her to S’s so the three of them can talk.
  • CeCe Has Planned Her Own Funeral – Lily tries to make arrangements but is told CeCe has already come up with everything. The family goes to the apartment and it is an Irish wake with traditional upbeat music, and even the “help” is celebrating her life.
  • Georgina Leaves Philip in Charge of Gossip GirlGeorgina Sparks is bored and Ivy invites her to CeCe’s wake, so she leaves her husband in charge of posting tips that have come in to Gossip Girl while she’s away. Only, Chuck sends in a tip saying that Dan was the one who sent in the video of Chuck and Blair saying they love each other. Philip copy and pastes the tip as Georgina told him, but forgets to delete the source, so Chuck is outed as the one who left the tip.
  • Serena’s Dad Returns – Dr. William Van der Woodsen shows up at CeCe’s wake and it turns out he has the will. We also find out through a side conversation between him and Carol that he is Lola’s real father (meaning that’s Serena’s sister. WOW!)
  • Estee Tricks Blair – She says she’s in love with Louis so she’s willing to help her get out of the prenup. All B has to do is stay out of the press. That means no Gossip Girl leaks, Page Six articles, etc. Blair thinks everything is going to work out until a tip about her and Dan makes it onto Gossip Girl — turns out Estee and Georgina were working together. Looks like the Waldorfs will have to pay the dowry.
  • Ivy Gets Everything! – William reads the will and a huge chuck of CeCe’s assets — including the Rhodes apartment that Lily and Rufus live in — go to Ivy. Everyone thinks it’s a mistake. Carol thinks it’s going to the real Charlotte Rhodes. But, no no. It says “Ivy Dickens” in the will! At the end of the episode, Ivy kicks Lily and Rufus out of the apartment since it’s hers now.
  • Dan and Blair Become Official – Blair tells Chuck she loves him but she’s not in love with him. She realizes Dan is the one for her and the two kiss — a lot. Dair fans scream with joy; Chair fans cry. (See Chair Vs. Dair)

In Gossip Girl‘s episode “The Back Up Dan” (season 5, episode 14), we all cringed a little as Blair went with Louis at the end of the show. The song playing in the background gave the whole scene an eerie feel, too. That song was “Future This” by The Big Pink.

The band is an electro-rockduo from London comprised of Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell. Their music has been featured on previous episodes of Gossip Girl. Listen to some of their other songs for free at MySpace and like them on Facebook to stay up to date on their tour and other news.

Check out the video below to hear the song that played in “The Back Up Dan”. What do you think about it? Let us know in a comment below!

Gossip Girl Recap: Season 5, Episode 13

Blair Waldorf and Louis Grimaldi Wedding

Who else was screaming “OMFG” at the flat screen? The 100th episode of Gossip Girl proved to be an extreme drama-filled show complete with a royal wedding and the return of Georgina Sparks!

  • Blair’s Wedding Day – It’s the event that everyone’s been waiting for (and hoping wouldn’t actually happen). The bride-to-be gets a little panic attack as she’s sitting in her gorgeous Vera Wang gown. We all know she still loves Chuck but can’t be with him because of her prayer to God that said if he stayed alive, she’d keep her vow to marry Louis. There’s a part of us that thinks she actually likes Louis, like she’s not totally repulsed by him like we are, but there’s still some major hesitation about whether or not she should walk down the aisle.
  • Georgina Returns – She’s back, and ready to join forces with Chuck to break up Blair’s wedding. First she plans on seducing the groom and having Blair find the two of them. But, Eleanor puts an end to that quickly. Then, she films Blair telling Chuck that she still loves him (see above) and gives him the video to do with it what he wants.
  • Eleanor Waldorf to the Rescue – A mother knows best, and Eleanor can tell Blair is not happy. She goes to Chuck’s apartment and tells him. This encourages him to go to Blair and tell her not to marry Louis right before she walks down the aisle. She tells him she still loves him but has to marry Louis. Le sigh…
  • Serena Finally Tells Chuck About Blair’s Vow – Finally! And now Chuck knows why she’s been so weird.
  • Blair Marries Louis – We have never felt so nervous before. First, she looks amazing walking down the aisle with Harold and Cyrus. The priest asks if anyone has any objections to this marriage and Chuck walks in. The suspense is killing us. Say something, Chuck! But then Blair gives him a look like, “Don’t do it,” and he remains silent. THEN, everyone’s phones start buzzing. It’s a Gossip Girl text! She leaks the video of Blair telling Chuck she still loved him. Blair runs away, and we see her and Louis talking in another room. She explains to him that he didn’t see the part on the video where she says she loves him. They get married and we see them having their last dance at the reception. Louis is all like, “Our marriage is just a contract at this point. I only did this to save face. Flash a fake smile so people think we’re happy.”
  • Blair Runs Away – With her mandatory fake smile, Blair runs over to her phone and says to the person on the other line, “Help me.” Cut to Chuck looking for Blair at the reception. Was it him that she called? Cut to Blair running outside looking around. A car pulls up. She gets in. “This is the only one I could find,” DAN says. OMFG – she called DAN!
  • Georgina is Gossip Girl? – Knowing our hearts couldn’t handle anymore drama, we still got another shocking moment. A post on Gossip Girl is being written by someone and then the camera shows who that someone was … GEORGINA!? Is she really Gossip Girl or did she just hack into the account? We’ll have to wait and see!
