It Girls of the Week: TV Upfronts
May 18th
In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. This week, we’re looking at some of the stars who shined at the television upfronts! Check out the TV queens below!
- Kat Graham – The Vampire Diaries star looked stunning at the CW upfront, wearing a sexy thigh-high split skirt with a black top and studded clutch. She was also one of the few stars that greeted fans outside, making some TVD viewers and supporters of her music career very, very happy.
- Vanessa Williams – The star of Alloy Entertainment‘s newest series 666 Park Avenue shined on the red carpet at the ABC upfront after-party, but the real buzz is her new show. Her character on the supernatural series looks deliciously devious, and the show is from the same people who brought you Gossip Girl (so, expect lots of juicy drama and plot twists!)
- Demi Lovato – It was announced this week that Demi will be joining Britney Spears, Simon Cowell, and L.A. Reid on the judges’ panel for Fox’s “The X Factor.” Demi is hopefully going to make a positive comeback after her stint in rehab, and we’re excited to see what kind of criticism she has to offer, considering her whole Seventeen magazine movement “Love is Louder Than The Pressure To Be Perfect.”

It Girls of the Week: Beyoncé, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Kate Middleton
Apr 27th
In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. Check out this week’s leading ladies below:
- Beyoncé – After giving birth to her beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy, earlier this year, Beyoncé had another first when she was named People’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman of 2012. “I feel more beautiful than I’ve ever felt because I’ve given birth” the new mom said to People magazine. Surely, the pop icon and singer will be having a very special Mothers’ Day this year.
- Sarah Michelle Gellar – It’s official! Ringer actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr. are expecting their second child! The 35-year-old star is excited about welcoming a new member of the family and is looking forward to doing it all again!
- Kate Middleton – Sure, the royal Kate isn’t sporting a baby bump just yet, but she was spotted holding a newborn at a party on Thursday. Could the lovely princess be getting in some practice before she and Prince William decide to dive in to parenthood? With their one-year-wedding anniversary on April 29 fast approaching, here’s hoping that Kate joins the ranks of superstar moms.

It Girls of the Week: Katy Perry, Hilary Duff, January Jones
Mar 23rd
In honor of Gossip Girl author Cecily von Ziegesar’s series It Girl, each week we celebrate the women who are making headlines. Check out this week’s leading ladies below:
- Katy Perry – The recently divorced popstar has a new song out about a breakup (coincidence? Katy swears it’s not about her ex Russel Brand…) called “Part of Me.” The video for it debuted and it’s all about girl power. In it, Katy joins the Marines and kicks some major butt. Watch the video!
- Hilary Duff – Lizzie Maguire is all grown up… with a baby boy! The actress/singer welcomed her first child into the world on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. “Welcome to the World Luca Cruz Comrie! Tuesday evening, we became proud parents of a healthy 7 pound 6 ounce beautiful boy,” Hilary tweeted. “We are overjoyed and feel like the luckiest parents in the world,” she continued. “He is surrounded by so much love!! Mom and baby are both doing extremely well.”
- January Jones – It’s been an extra long hiatus for Mad Men and all the fans eagerly awaiting the return, but it’s finally back on Sunday, March 25, 2012. Even though January Jones who plays Don Draper’s ex wife Betty (spoiler alert!) won’t be in the season premiere (because she was very pregnant when they shot those scenes), her character still plays a big part in the story line.
